A collaboration between the Therapeutics Initiative, the Office of Technology Development, and the Blavatnik Biomedical Accelerator to connect HMS and industry experts. 

Linking Academia and Industry

Bridges to Industry Program (BTIP) builds meaningful connections between HMS – professors, postdocs, and students – and a diverse group of scientific experts from industry. Through frequent, regular interactions, Q-FASTR and BBA grantees present their projects under confidentiality to experienced industry scientists, who then provide practical advice in real time, help them overcome obstacles, and help shape future experiments. The grantees also learn from each other’s experiences and the approaches they use to deal with roadblocks in their programs. In addition, the industry experts give talks and lead discussions in their areas of expertise (e.g., medicinal chemistry and lead optimization, protein therapeutics, in vivo efficacy studies, PK/PD, ADME-Tox, formulation, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, market analysis, and business development).

BTIP meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held in a hybrid format (in person and live stream via Zoom).
